This was read to us in Church on Sunday and I thought I would share. It is a letter to the President.
Dear Mr. President,
While it is true that you are accountable to us, the American people, we are not your ultimate source of accountability.
While it is true that you must answer to the Congress of the United States, one day, you will answer to someone far greater.
While you consult with leaders from around the world, our hope is that you won’t forget to consult with the Creator of the world.
As the great King Nebuchadnezzar was once reminded, “The Most High is sovereign over the kingdoms of the world and He gives them to anyone He wishes.”
So your leadership, like all leadership, is a stewardship. It is temporary. And you are accountable.
