Snoring???

So out of the clear blue, I have started snoring.  It is odd because I started snoring as if you were to turn on a light, it just happened.  So here is what I have found out about snoring, from our good friends at the Mayo Clinic:

Definition

Loud and frequent snoring can be more than just a nuisance to your partner. Snoring may indicate a serious health condition, and it can disrupt your household.

Snoring is common. Almost half of adults snore at least occasionally. Snoring occurs when air flows past relaxed tissues in your throat, causing the tissues to vibrate as you breathe, creating hoarse or harsh sounds.

Lifestyle changes, such as losing weight, avoiding alcohol close to bedtime or sleeping on your side, can help stop snoring.

In addition, surgery is available that may reduce disruptive snoring. However, surgery isn’t suitable or necessary for everyone who snores.

First off I have not been losing weight, I have actually been gaining weight thanks to my new pain management pills.  Second, I don’t drink alcohol or anything alcohol related.  Third, surgery is not an option.  You see, my snoring isn’t a constant thing.  It will usually wake me up and I will change my sleeping position.  It is just plum crazy I tell ya!  I hope Melanie doesn’t start punching me in the middle of the night.  I might wake up one morning with a broke nose!!!

  • If I hear you snoring I will punch you and stick dirty socks in your mouth.

  • If you hear me snoring…I’m wondering what you are doing in my bed!!!

  • Melanie grew up with alot of snoring in the house, I am sure you have heard dad snore from across the house. He fell asleep in his chair during a football game a few weeks ago. I turned the volume up as loud as it would go and dad’s snoring was still louder than John Madden. I think she will get use to it.

Just wondering ….does Melanie still talk in her sleep?
