Joe Barnes Blog » Evan Parker http://www.suprajoe.com Mon, 07 Dec 2009 14:50:57 +0000 en hourly 1 http://wordpress.org/?v=3.0 Marine Corps Buddies Reunited http://www.suprajoe.com/archives/165 http://www.suprajoe.com/archives/165#comments Sat, 13 Dec 2008 17:48:07 +0000 Joe Barnes http://www.suprajoe.com/?p=165 I was in the Marine Corps from 1993 – 1997.  Three years of those four I was stationed on the wonderful island of Okinawa, Japan.  Within the first couple of days of getting on the island is when I met Evan Parker.  Within those three years, Evan became one of the best friends I have ever had.  Evan left the island a few months before I did.  When he left, that was the last time I saw him, until last weekend, so around almost 12 years..  I got to meet his beautiful family and we went to D.C. to check out some of the sites.  I had a blast, even though it was FREEZING cold out side, I had a blast.
